Spiritual Foundation in South Africa Was Established on the 27th October 2002, 20th Shabaan-ul-Muazzam 1423, by His Emminence Hazrat Allama Syed Muhammad Jilani Ashraf Kichhauchhavi.

The Official opening of a branch in South Africa was located at No. 20 Gum Crescent, Ext 6, Lenasia, Johannesburg. Ulama, students, learned scholars and other dignitaries were invited to attend this grand Opening.

Since then we never looked back and soon before we knew it a "Working Committee" was formed and the name says it all, "Working Committee" was then put the test. With great enthusiasm we began to put together an Islamic Library and in doing so we added a book shop.

On these premises various books with different topics ranging from Shariah (Islamic Law) to Sufism (Islamic Mysticism) were not only sold but also studied as well. Topies, Scarves, Attars, Musallahs, Urdu kitaabs for the beginner and all students were available at hand for studying, purchasing or for mere pleasure reading.

Later on the Working Committee went on pursuing what we would like to call was a "Mobile Book Shop." We attended most Islamic Functions to sell these Kitaabs (books). Alham do lillah most of these books are written by Hazrat Allama Syed Muhammad Jilani himself. We at Spiritual Foundation Book shop boast a number of topics such as world famous "Spiritual Days and Nights," and" Worlds First Encyclopedia on Sufism" known as "Kashful Quloob." Kashful Quloob consists of Nine Volumes and each volume deals with different topics relating to day to day living.

For e.g. Cleanliness, Virtues of Knowledge, Virtues of Fasting, Intention of Hajj, Humility and Fear in Salaat, Charity, Virtues of Holy Wars, Rights of Parents, Carnal Desires, Vengeance, Modesty, Piety, Life in the grave, Companions of the Prophet, Letters of Sufis, Will Power, Deeds and Recitals, Seclusion, Inspired Knowledge, Stories of Virtuous People and the list goes on.

Besides these topics we have other topics such as “Qur’an and Society, Condemnation of Jealousy, Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Abu-Bakr, Virgin Mary, the First Man and other topics which are made up of small booklets.

So in this manner we strived towards the promotion of Spiritual Foundation with its motto of “Love, Peace and Brotherhood. As a need arose even more inspirering books were brought into the country.

Pamphlets were Printed and Distributed, Sign Boards Erected as to the direction of the Library, Workshops discussing Spirituality in and around our locality, Lectures were attended and given in order to Promote the Functions of this Office, one and all were invited to attend the Thursday “ZIKR O FIKR” Sessions.

Shukr, Many thanks to Allah Ta Allah we overcame many Obstacles but kept One Mind, One Vision and that was to carry on with the Work of our Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W.) and the Friends of Allah Ta Allah. At this point in time we were like a Ship Lost at Sea and as we all know the Importance of a Spiritual Teacher, a Spiritual Father, a Spiritual Guide, a Sheikh, a Peer O Murshid, Yes! Through this guide we not only Found the Pathway, but also Peace, Tranquility, Understanding and this was achieved Only and Only through the Assistance and Guidance of his Emminence Hazrat Allama Syed Muhammad Jilani Ashraf Kachhouchhavi.

May Allah Ta Allah grant Hazrat Syed Muhammad Jilani Ashraf and his family their hearts desires. Ameen.”O Allah Guide us on the Right Path. Guide us on the Path of those who are your Friends, and Save us from Infidelity, (Kufr), Polytheism (Shirk), going astray (Gumraahi), Impiety, Sins and Misdeeds. (Ameen).”
